Keyword Triggers
Keyword triggers fire an auto-response when a specific word or phrase appears in the ticket. Instead of sending the same response to every ticket, you can send targeted responses only when relevant.
How Keyword Triggers Work
When a ticket is created, TixBot scans the ticket content (the form responses or the opening message) for your configured keywords. If a match is found, the associated auto-response is sent automatically.
Setting Up a Keyword Trigger
- •Go to Auto Responses in your server dashboard
- •Click New Auto Response
- •Enter the keyword or phrase to match
- •Write the response to send when that keyword is detected
- •Save — the trigger is now active
Examples
| Keyword | Auto-response |
|---|---|
| refund | Links to refund policy and how to request one |
| password | Instructions for resetting account password |
| invoice | Where to find invoices in account settings |
| invite | Link to tixbot.gg/invite with setup instructions |
ℹ️Cooldowns
TixBot applies a cooldown to keyword triggers to prevent the same response from firing multiple times in a short period. This avoids spamming users if the keyword appears repeatedly.
