Button Panels

Button panels are the most common way to let users open tickets. A button panel is an embed message with one or more buttons — each button opens a specific type of ticket.

How Button Panels Work

You deploy a button panel to a channel from the dashboard. The panel appears as an embed with a button underneath. When a user clicks the button, TixBot creates a private ticket channel instantly and sends a confirmation only they can see.

Creating a Button Panel

1
Go to Panels in your dashboard
From your server dashboard at tixbot.gg/dashboard, select your server then click Panels in the sidebar.
2
Click New Panel and choose Button Panel
Click New Panel. When prompted for the panel type, select Button Panel.
3
Give the panel a name
This name is for your reference only — it appears in the dashboard panel list so you can identify it. Users never see this.
4
Configure the embed
Set the embed title, description, and colour. This is the message your users will see in Discord. Keep the description clear and concise — something like "Click below to open a support ticket".
5
Configure the button
Set a button label (e.g. "Open Support Ticket"), choose a style (Primary is the blue Discord button), and select which ticket type the button opens.
6
Select a channel and deploy
Choose the Discord channel you want the panel to appear in, then click Send to Channel. The panel will appear in that channel immediately.
â„šī¸Multiple buttons on one panel

You can add multiple buttons to a single panel, each opening a different ticket type. This is useful if you have separate categories like Sales, Technical, and Billing on one panel.

Tips

  • â€ĸLock the panel channel — set permissions so users can only read the channel, not send messages. This keeps the panel clean.
  • â€ĸUse clear button labels — "Open Support Ticket" is better than just "Click Here".
  • â€ĸOne panel per category — if you have very different support types, consider separate panels in separate channels rather than many buttons on one panel.
  • â€ĸTest before announcing — always click the button yourself before pointing your community to it.
