Closing Tickets

Closing a ticket saves the transcript, notifies the user, and moves or deletes the ticket channel depending on your server configuration.

How to Close a Ticket

Use `/close` inside a ticket channel, or click the Close Ticket button if one is present. TixBot will save the full transcript and post a close embed with a link to view it and buttons to delete the channel.

What Happens When a Ticket Closes

  • •The full conversation transcript is saved and accessible at tixbot.gg/transcript/[id]
  • •A close embed is posted showing who closed it and a link to the transcript
  • •If you have a closed category configured, the channel is moved there
  • •Staff can click Delete Ticket to permanently remove the channel, or View Transcript to review it
⚠️Deletion is permanent

Clicking Delete Ticket removes the Discord channel permanently. The transcript is still saved at tixbot.gg, but the channel itself cannot be recovered.

Auto-Close

On Pro and Business tiers you can configure tickets to automatically close after a period of inactivity. This is configured per ticket type in Ticket Configuration. A warning message is sent before auto-close triggers, giving the user a chance to respond.
