Adding and Removing Users

By default, only the user who opened the ticket and your support role can see a ticket channel. You can add or remove additional users at any time using slash commands.

Adding a User

Use `/add @user` inside a ticket channel. TixBot will grant that user view and send message permissions in the channel. Useful when a ticket involves multiple people, or when you need a specialist to join.

Removing a User

Use `/remove @user` to remove a user from the ticket channel. Their permissions are revoked and they can no longer see or send messages in the channel.

â„šī¸You cannot remove the ticket opener

The user who opened the ticket cannot be removed from their own ticket. If a ticket opener becomes problematic, close the ticket instead.

Common Scenarios

  • â€ĸBilling dispute — add your finance team member who can access payment records
  • â€ĸTechnical issue — add a developer or senior technical staff member
  • â€ĸGroup order — a user wants to add a friend who is also part of the order
  • â€ĸRemoving a staff member — if a staff member leaves mid-ticket, remove them and assign a replacement
