Internal Staff Notes

Internal notes let staff leave messages inside a ticket that are only visible to other staff members — not the user who opened the ticket. Useful for coordinating internally without the user seeing your discussion.

Adding a Note

Use `/addnote` inside a ticket channel. A modal will appear where you type your note. When submitted, TixBot posts the note as an amber embed clearly labelled as an internal note, along with your name.

Viewing Notes

Use `/notes` to see all internal notes that have been added to the current ticket in a clean list, showing who wrote each note and when.

⚠️Notes are visible in the channel

Internal notes are posted as embeds in the ticket channel. Make sure the user does not have permission to read the channel, or that your ticket channel permissions are set up correctly so notes remain staff-only.

Good Uses for Notes

  • •Recording what you checked — e.g. "Verified payment in Stripe, confirmed"
  • •Leaving context when handing off a ticket to another staff member
  • •Flagging something for a senior staff member to review
  • •Documenting decisions made during the ticket
